Hypertension

Children may have problems of hypertension during the period directly after the surgery and must take drugs to control their blood pressure. Anti-rejection drugs constitute one of the main causes of hypertension following transplantation. In the course of time, when your child recovers from the transplantation, the quantity of anti-rejection drugs necessary for the protection of his new liver will diminish and he will probably no longer need drugs to control his blood pressure.
